I can see what you mean. I didn’t intend for it to be in the vein of “pick up” culture but it certainly does share the same theme doesn’t it?
The way I was thinking about it was that Brownie was attending classes for immigrant ponies and had chanced upon a young Richard at the on campus bar (which in my experience is a defacto social setting)
I have’t printed any cards except brownie yet so i’ll give it some more thought!
Whup, I stand corrected.
It’s merely my opinion, of course. The scenario itself just strikes me as being a dull cliché. In movies and television, there seems to be this prevailing sentiment that bars are truly the go-to establishments for “picking up chicks/guys” and such, but I tend to see that as a somewhat cheap how-they-met story.
I did write it. I guess it is a little weak and rambling.
Any criticism you think could fix it or is the story itself just bad in your opinion?
