I was reading a fic on FIMFiction and I came across this pairing right in the middle of it, and I immediately fell in love. One buttmunch falling in love with another buttmunch? Why the heck not?! And also, ever since I imagined these two together, I thought about how Gilda might have played pretend princesses when she was a teeny tiny fledgling, and she grew up still holding onto that belief. She’s girly-er than Dash, that’s for sure, but since she grew up in such a rough-and-tumble neighborhood, she had to put on a snappy, irritated exterior to hide her little princess dreams. Aww.
 
Years later, she finds herself married to Prince Blueblood of Canterlot and taking care of their beloved daughter, Regina. Also PS, Blueblood got some high levels of bitch when he and Gilda first met, and gradually she taught him just how much of an asshole he was due to her blunt honesty. He’s much less of a jerk now, but still kind of a narcissist. Just a li’l bit.

Personality/Background: Regina is… an odd mixture. Oh one hand (or hoof, as it were… claw? I don’t know) she’s your typical girly, cutesy princess who grew up surrounded by the presence of nobility and who wanted to wear tiaras and pink dresses all day. She’d waddle around in Auntie Celestia’s shoes, bark orders at the palace guards, and loll around in the gardens. On the other hand, however, there is a girl that is every bit a jerk and a narcissist as her mother and father are were, complete with a foul temper and a deep hatred for early mornings. She can be a complete bitch if necessary. Thankfully, these occasions are rare.
 
If any of you are wondering why Nina’s hair looks like that and not all princessy, it’s because, when she was little (like she is above), she really looked up to her Momma. Oh sure, she does it now, but back then she worshipped Gilda. So much so that she locked herself in the bathroom with a pair of sewing scissors and cut her lovely golden hair, styling it so that it would resemble her mother’s feathers. Blueblood nearly fainted when he saw his precious darling’s new and improved ‘do. Gilda wasn’t sure to be flattered or horrified.
