Shhh shhh, it’s okay, don’t scream. At least all those characters had an important role and enjoyable on their own so it’s a pleasure to work with their background, and in flash’s case, he’s about as enjoyable as a cardboard box.

However, enough time has passed to know firstly, McCarthy no longer desires to give Flash more characterization than the scant amount he currently has and secondly, due to this, we are free to make up our own more appealing versions of him, and were soon after EG1. Unfortunately, only a few of us are self-aware enough to avoid the rut of going “hurr durr waifu waifu waifu” and actually do so, the rest are bent on simply regurgitating memes from this franchise and Metal Gear, for the rot of popular culture is a double-edged blade. It fills the hole in my life, but it kills me inside.
