I think those are actually “Jacks”, not “Claptraps”. Not as painful, but would still probably be anywhere between mildly uncomfortable to medium pain, depending on how far deep they’re wedged.
Either way, it would require a trip to the hospital.

Three years later and I just realized I misspelled Caltrops. And for some pathetic reason I feel the need to revive this thread for this stupid announcement.

Seemingly, jacks are caltrops specifically designed to be much safer for ther game jacks. Why jacks are on signs for bowling alleys is something you’d have to ask… Not Norman Rockwell. I don’t know why his name popped up in mind, since bowling sign jacks look as if they come from the mid, late ‘60s.

There’s a joke here somewhere about arcane slang from the ’50s like queer and weiners. X3

Definately NOT a bot!
@ZhaoZoharEX
I meant it was unpleasant for the fact that they existed at all, not that they were inside anyone (though that would be considerably worse).

Also; Caltrops, not “Claptraps’

Also, also, for those who don’t know; Caltrops are small jack-like devices, comprised of four spikes, oriented in such a way so that, when thrown, tossed, dumped, etc., three of the spikes would rest on the ground, while the fourth sticks upwards. That way, when cavalry, infantry, or other mounted forces rode past, their horses would step on the spike, crippling them. How these could ever to be in the MLP universe, is truly a mystery, though a somewhat morbid and unpleasant one at that.

Background Pony #000C
This just got weird.
I have an oc stallion whose cutie mark is two sticks of dynamite and a bowling ball bomb.
A stallion with frog drinking tea while in a cup of tea cutiemark.
A mare whose cutie might include a wrench.
And a mare whose cutie mark is three large stacked logs all stripped of bark.
I need this docs number, just in case.
