Eh yeah I guess there’s that. I’m in the club that feels the comics butcher the characters or world feel more often than not though for the sake of “humor” or driving a plot forward, so at this point consider them noncanon/AU/in any event able to be dismissed when it comes to seriously defining characters I guess.

Oh okay, I’ve never seen MA before so maybe that’s why it’s so popular if that’s a thing there. And yeah, that’s another good point too.

@Jack Kellar
Oh hey, well thanks for that.

Funny thing was, once she got over Spike’s death and her sister getting better, she went to hunt down that blue spy and got her money back. She keeps the spy’s head in her closet.

Rarity: This is madness! First Twilight tells me the news about Spike’s death, then a blue spy stole all my money, then Sweetie Belle sufficated because of my non stop crying, and now I have a zit on my face. This is the worst day I’ve ever had.

One of the joys of being a nymphomaniac I suppose.
I’ve always wondered why this interpretation of Rarity is so incredibly popular. Given her naively fairy tale ideas and fantasies about romance and her demure hesitation when it comes to actually approaching known crushes of hers (Blueblood and Trenderhoof, when she first approaches both of them) I’d be really surprised to learn she’s ever even handed over her v-card yet.

I think it’s a fun/entertaining characterization of Rarity, particularly in the mentally advanced series. In terms of the canon characterization, I am in agreement that she has yet to pop her cherry since she only has an idealized/theoretical idea of what it means to be in a loving relationship, along with the her idea of being a proper lady.

Duck - Bona fide shitposter - ignore or report

I gotta give the comics credit for their artwork. The aesthetic side of things is actually pretty good.

The writing, though, is worse than bad fanfics. How someone can get paid to wipe their asses with paper and the compile it all into a story and then call it a comic book is beyond me.

The comics are considered a separate entity from the show, though. Big Jim himself said that.

Good, too - they bastardize the fuck out of her and every ither character in the comics.

That’s what I was wondering. They probably do/can, but the thing is I don’t see how they’d be really visible.
