P.S. Due to how body works, “eat less or omit food” can be substituted with “eat something without carbs if you can’t NOT eat, and are overweight”, which will not prevent early ketosis - fat metabolism.
Being fat doesn’t really help the left pony’s argument. Especially since one of the possible causes of obesity is being unable to tell when one is actually hungry, and when they just think they’re hungry.
In general, however, it’s pretty much “make sure to eat balanced amount of nutrients, eat less or omit food entirely before periods of little to no activity such as sleep, make sure to match amount you eat and amount you use up by physical effort”.
Also, “if you don’t eat at specific times, you’ll get [arbitrary digestive illness]” is circular reasoning: getting illnesses from skipping meals requires establishing mealtimes first to the point body gets all Pavlovian on them.
