The anon who posted “ I would tie her up for public boopings.” was me, which resulted in that image that was replicated. There’s some evidence.
 
I’m willing to believe that the artist who made the image being questioned perhaps may have traced over it, posted it on a blog, and a 2nd party took it upon themselves to post it to booru. I can accept that. That’s a believable scenario.

I agree. If the original sketch was not done by the artist of this image, then yes, the original idea should be credited somewhere. Since you seem to know where this came from, why don’t you post a link to the actual thread, so people can see for themselves.
 
That being said, this was not an inking or a trace of the sketch BGP#730E posted. This is obviously original work using the same idea. With absolutely no sources given for either piece, there’s no way for anyone to tell who actually came up with idea first or whether permission was granted for the other person to use it.
 
If the original artist wants to come on here and complain, more power to them. But white knighting, especially without any concrete evidence to support the claim that this was “stolen” from anybody is entirely counterproductive.
 
Complaining on a booru where the artist of this image may not be the one who posted it and may not even be aware that it was posted here is doubly counterproductive. For all the rest of us know, this may have been posted on a blog somewhere with the whole funny story about how the artist’s sister’s cousin’s dentist came up with this funny idea for a comic and has been asking every artist he knows if they could draw their own take on it.

You know; I just realized that this is supposed to be fluttershy yet there are no wings. Pretty much verifying further that no thought was put into this and it was copied. Good job.

Stealing an idea is one thing, using something as a reference is one thing, this is a straight up copy of the poses and idea, frame by frame. I wouldn’t expect anything less of this fanbase though. No, I am not the artist, but I happened to be in the thread it was posted in when it was created. It wasn’t fluttershy, it was an OC named Caramel Confection. I suppose it’s really up to her if she wants to be pissed off about this but as an artist myself I would at least wanted to be created for the idea. Or at least say that it was “lined” and then link the original.
