Eh no problem, I was gonna say if you have Netflix or ondemand cable you can catch all of the previous seasons. When I first heard about it I was kinda skeptickal at first, but after watching a couple of the first episodes I was hooked.
 
But the reason I used the show as a reference is because I can totaly see shining and cadence having little arguments with similar witty banter.
 
But if you ever do get a chance it’s deffinately worth checking out.

I’m sorry you took the time to list your ideas for me, but I really don’t watch Archer so can’t offer much of an opinion. After today’s episode, I’m really wanting an episode to show more of Cadance. Something like that would be amazing. Even if they just animated the story of her ascension. But preferably she and Shining have a foal! XD

Yeah, I have to agree with you there about shining not being able to show more of his potential, but like I said before I don’t hate cadence or shining either, it just irritates me that the writers of the show just seem to want to take the easy way out evenever they can and just figure that everyone will just eat it up regardless.
 
It’s kinda funny too because theres just so much potential for these two.
 
Just for the risk of sounding like a huge dork. I wanna share something with you.
 
Whenever I watch the show Archer, I see a lot of potential simmilarities between the two shows.

Isn’t Cadance the opposite of the damsel in distress? She always saves the day. Its Shining Armor who never gets to show off his skills. He’s been poorly written, I think, but I still like him.  
As for Cadance, I love her. She’s my favourite character. She’s been shown as gentle and kind and self sacrificing. She is like a real sister to Twilight and shows her snarky side alot with Shining Armor and when Twi gets too worked up. In the comics she’s shown as a book worm a bit just like Twilight. She’s missing some development sure, but so is Celestia. Really only Luna has gotten any, which I’m sure people would argue, but her limited episodes show more about her than most other characters besides the mane 6.
 
As for this OC, that’s rude to say to anypony, but especially a princess, and her cutie mark sucks. Its worst cutie mark. There. Nyah :P

Well I was just gonna drop the subject altogether and move on, but if you really want to know it’s mostly due to her complete lack of character.
 
For instance, when she first debuted on the cartoon she was ultimately depicted as the damsel in distress not once but twice towards the end of the episode a canterlot wedding.
 
Then the season 3 opener Cadence is merely dipicted as a cheap plot device as she’s holding up a force feild throughout the crystal empire, which is something I thought shining armor was known for. So rather than having an episode where we could’ve learned more about Cadence’s heritage (if she has any) and how she’s connected to the crystal empire. Instead were given a half assed explanaition about the crystal empire and cadence is installed to rule it. So rather than shining armor using his powers while Cadence and Twilight go find a way to save the empire, we’re left with Cadence being used as some kind of battery.
 
Im not saying that I don’t like her or that I hate her or anything like that. I just find it irritating that the writers of the show would just seeem to take whatever easy route they can take in order to make a season.
 
It’s like Hasbro just dropped a character into their laps and they don’t even know what to do with her.
 
As for further character development? We’re already on season 5 and since her debut back in season 2 I wouldn’t get my hopes up

I believe what The Metal Bronyhead is trying to say is that he too thinks Cadance is best princess. Now that’s not meant to insult the other princesses or mean we think they’re inferior, we just prefer her for our own reasons. Some will call Cadance a Mary-Sue for her “Perfect princess personality” I say give it time and we might see more character building of this underrated princess that evens out her character.
 
There’s always differing opinions on who is the best pony/princess/etc.
 
I like Cadance for her personality, appearance and her relation to many things crystal. I’ve been an avid mineral and gem hound since childhood and I just like her overall. If more people would explain WHY they dislike a pony, instead of just saying “insert name is worst pony” That’s just bound to stir up a hornet’s nest.
 
Please share with me why you think she’s worst princess in your opnion, if you don’t mind.
