Trying to get this one working was tricky, but I am really pleased with the results. Remember this is AU starts with Twilight before meeting her friends. That’s why she is both not an Alicorn, and why she lacks Charisma. I imagine she puts some points into it Charisma pretty quickly though XD.
Agreed. I know why it’s done, but fantasy art (let alone supposed “historical” works) that show warriors going into battle minus helmets and armor drives me up the wall.

Well, you know what they say, “A wizard without his hat is naked. A wizard with his hat is not naked, even when he is.”
Be that as it may, and Mage running around showing legs, midriff, and cleavage is far less damaging to ones suspension of disbelief than a warrior or knight doing the same.
Thank you. I try.
I just wish I had proofread it before posting. x_x
Slow Clap, that was an excellent and logical argument,
He’s $10.00 away from his patreon goal before he comes out with them.
Barely any, because the barrier is built into the outfits themselves.
How many of your mages accidentally forget about putting on clothes because they have this barrier on and it protects them just fine?
Unless it’s like what I do, which I also add in a self-sustaining invisible barrier around the body that does act like a second layer of clothing that does protect the wearer from mundane sources.
I usually also try to present it with deeper meaning as well, though I also accept how absurd it is as well, but then again, I do think it’s possible for them to go hand-in-hand, but that’s just me.
I’m really bad at proofreading my posts. >_<
That argument doesn’t really hold any water either. A layer of think cloth WILL protect you better than nothing. A strong direct hit, no, but a glancing blow from a sword could be completely absorbed by sturdy cloth–and without it would be a long draw cut that could extensive bleeding.
Furthermore, you forget things like basic protection from mundane sources. A character who travels a lot isn’t going to want a lot of skin exposed. Clothes protect your from the sun, from the cold, from thorny bushes or from a nasty spill on a dirt road even; All of which is liable to happen if you’re a traveling adventurer.
Skimpy outfits like this are not at all realistic or plausible. They’re shameless unrealistic fan-service and trying to justify it as anything else is honestly just kind of embarrassing. It’s fan-service, we like it; but we also need to recognize it’s inherently absurd. Trust me, it’s a lot easier to just accept that than it is to try justify how it makes sense.
It’s okay to like fan-service. Just don’t try to pass it off as anything but fan-service.

That is actually one of Ambris’s Patreon stretch goals. If enough people fund it, he’ll start releasing those versions too.
These are the ones who run around in g-string and cups over nipples.
Maybe some mages have the ability to add their skimpyness points to their defense points.
Unless the setting in question has enchanting or runeweaving and they require connected mass. Even if only to fit the runes on it.
Then skimpy robes on mages stops making sense again until the mage becomes so overpowered they discover a way to pack more magic into skimpy clothing than ordinary mage can into full robe.
