Which is way more work than simply factoring it to (x+2)(x+3)=0 and then solving. You don’t really need to bust out the whole formula when its something as easy as a C with only two factors that add up to B.

Nah. If you use the quadratic formula for ax²+bx+c = 0, the solution is x = (-b±√(b²-4ac))/2a, which gives us:
x1 = -3
x2 = -2
They did.
All I can say for sure is that it’s not from Magic:: The Gathering. Those cards have a completely different layout to them.
