Because in the art world half the point is others looking at your art and telling you what’s wrong. Haven’t you ever seen a food network challenge most of the time the judges talk about what’s wrong just as much if not more than what’s right.
 
a redraw is meant to show the artist what’s off in the body, like the fact jay doesn’t give them organs and a spin is bent too much.
 
Jay’s can still do the style just now he doesn’t need to look like he was trained by Rob Liefeld

I never understood that position. If you draw something and someone decides to draw it again, but better, that is actually a good thing.
 
If his second pic sucks more or just as much, the only person losing is the one claiming he could do it better, because he would be proven wrong.

Perhaps. I’m all for critique, but just redoing it in their own style and saying “this is the right way to do it.” It just feels like elitism to me.
 
Though I will admit I don’t know rhe backstory for this, maybe the artist asked for it to be redrawn. Maybe it’s a tribute to them. If it is redrawing and saying “this is right.” then I call douchebaggery.
