The royal sisters are literally the oldest living beings in Equestria, so I don’t think the age difference would matter that much to them even if he was 18, they’d probably be cool with the age he is now for all we know.

Don’t forget Princess Celestia and Luna! Spike needs to get it on with both sisters too. (when he’s 18 that is) XD

If Spike was named for his special talent, like ponies were, he’d be called Friend Zoned. Portraying him as some sort of Casanova/Lothario is one of the more hilarious things I’ve seen in the fandom.

As do most bronies. Which is exactly the reason he’s often the target of the fanbase’s hate.
 
He’s a young member of an extremely powerful race (so its just a matter of time for him to become OP), that lives for millenia, and hangs around with and is best friends with the ponies most the fanbase would kill for to be with. Sure he’s often on the end of jokes, but its compensated by his truthfully charmed life. No matter how much haters would like yo to believe otherwise, if given the option to BE Spike, they’d take it in an instant.
 
Most of the hate comes from the fact that fans would love to be him, but know they never will.

What exactly is with people being so against the idea of magical, fantastical creatures getting together with different magical, fantastical creatures? What exactly is wrong with diversity considering they’re all sapient, intelligent creatures? For a fanbase whose origins were tainted with so much prejudice from people not accepting what was considered “different”, when it comes to shipping its surprising to find fans having a problem with Spike (an hypothetical adult Spike, the age thing is a valid issue) being with a mare.

Me thinks he is better off going aftter someone of his own kind considering the biological and age differences that makes relations between him and adult ponies impossible and disturbing.
