I saw your comment, and so called shenanigans on this so-called false rule. It’s very useful for compound phrases with a word then verb that precede nouns, because it makes it more certain that the verb used there is not modifying the sentence as a verb. Oft-forgotten, well-made, and gravity-defying are compound phrases which, if not indicated as such, can be seen as weird short but complete sentence additions.
 
And yeah, it’s al trivial, because apparently everything’s been fixed.

That’s a needlessly tight rule. The “your” complaint has some sense because there are two distinct meanings. But “so called” can only be interpreted as “so-called”.
