And that may also explain why Amore didn’t send Sombra Equestria’s way. The Princesses may have just zapped him once they found out he was a Shadow Pony (and taken his loot). They seemed less like Wise Monarchs back then, and more like try hard DnD adventurers.

The villains have their moments….Honestly, it’s more to set up for Twilight to take down the villain.

Honestly, while this comic does a lot of things right, they never explain why they couldn’t just do that. I mean, yeah Amore seems to think he could ‘change’ but she’s given so little time in the comic and as such, no time to figure out why she made this glaring mistake. So it makes Amore look rather…..naive, which is fitting given the Empire’s nature, but I think she’d at least ask for Celestia and Luna’s advice on the matter of a Shadow Pony walking around her kingdom.
