Why would Twilight want Celestia dead? Blindly worshipping Celestia is kinda Twi’s thing.

Technically, Discord can completely trump those plans, so really, it’s ALMOST a great plan.

Since the Unicorn Kingdom used to take care of that back before the Princesses took everything over it can’t be that hard to do.

Specifically what she did was enhance a volley ball serve with fire bending. The volley ball left a crater a couple feet deep and set the net on fire.
The series does show firebending can produce concussive blasts of heat and fire, presumably that’s what she was doing.
Someone who was competitive but not as crazy as Azula probably could of done that more subtly and without the megalomaniacal boasting after.

Common sense. One of the universal rules in sports is that you cannot intentionally inhibit your opponents’ performance unless you are doing so in one of the approved ways.
In volleyball, there are no approved ways other than simple blocking.
