Scorpan for misunderstood S5 season-opener, checking up on what his big bad bro’s been up to. Perhaps Trixie helps him & the Manes track down the proper focusing artifact for shutting down The Smooze(C). Which of course was unleashed by Applebloom’s latest mix-everything-in-Zecora’s-cabinet gambit.
We really need more griffons. And dragons. And minotaurs. But most of all:
We need more G1 to G3 classic villains. (Yeaaaaah…speaking of antangonists)
No kidding. And while we’re on quasi-antagonists, some more Gilda (or griffons in general) might not hurt.
That actually makes an interesting character arc for Trixie. She could be really good for a deuterangonist considering her antagonist role is already enough for her. Boast Busters is her introduction, Magic Duel is the rising problem on her and since the comics show her as a protangonist, S5 might as well give her a redemption episode.
Prior to EG2 I might have agreed. Frankly, the show seems overdue for a non-antagonist (or at least less antagonistic) Trixie ep.

Y’know, now that you mention it, it is a bit blurry, since it can me senior or mentor. Twilight definitely fills the mentor role, as you pointed out, but Sunset is the senior in terms of who was Celestia’s student first.
Unless I’m mistaken about the use of the word, it’s Twilight who’s Sunset’s senpai, since she’s the one advising through letters and guiding in her frienship studies despite being younger.
To me, it’s not a shipping war unless swearing and insults are involved.
