While I totally understand why people love Kindles/Nooks/e-readers in general, I’m the sort who prefers a big beautifully-made hardcover book over a small computer screen, for my own personal reading enjoyment. :)

Although like you, I prefer to do other stuff (in my case, surfing the net or watching DVDs) to spending my time reading (I’m also not a fast reader). So all those lovely large books I have to read are just sitting there on my shelves looking pretty. xD

I’ve got it and the sixth on my old and fairly reliable (aside from when it blue screens my PC when I plug it in sometimes) 2nd Gen Keyboard Kindle for reading at some point… alongside over 250 prize winning/popular/MISC books I downloaded onto it, and numerous MLP:FiM fanfics. I need to read more in general. The number of books I’ve read in my life are still in the lower double digits, while the amount of video games I’ve played are in the highest of the triple digits. I probably wouldn’t even be a reader without MLP:FiM and FiMFiction.

I have a hard time remembering the books actually. I know I enjoyed them and genuinely laughed, but most of it is a blur for some reason… though come to think of it… I’m pretty sure I read them with alcohol.

All I could think of when I saw this image was The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Arthur Dent. Need to get back to reading that series at some point. Read the first four in a row, but the fourth wasn’t my cup of tea, so I didn’t feel up to the fifth in the trilogy.
This is probably the craziest image I’ve seen so far on Derpibooru.

The fifth book in the increasingly-inaccurately-named trilogy was tonally quite different from the four that went before it, I feel, not least because it actually spent a lot of time concerned not with Arthur but with his daughter, Random.

…and I’ve not even gotten around to reading the sixth book. xD

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@WinterCutieMark

Sombra: But who ARE you!?! (gets shut into the cupboard)

Doctor: (shock…Rory pats him in the shoulder…) I can’t believe it…

Amy: My best friend is River Song.

River: Who’s River Song?

Doctor: (beat) Spoilers.

River: Spoilers? What’s spoilers? Hang on…

Rory: Ugh…there’s a beating in my head right now.

Amy: That’s probably Sombra in the cupboard.

Rory: Right, not helping.
Launchycat

People seem undecided on what the thing should be. With Rory, it’s usually sword and shield, or some other similarly roman-themed thing. With Amy, I’ve seen apples, watches, sunflowers, ponds (“No duck pond.”) and even the Pandorica.

So basically, because it’s vaguely Amy-related, and nobody’s come up with something that encompasses Amy’s essence better (unless, of course, you’re just asking where the apple idea came from, in which case, Eleventh Hour reference).
