Well, that’s good to know.
Although in this particular, incredibly bizarre case, it looks like Twilight came out of the womb head-first, and with her horn looking quite pointy.
I’d imagine the horn is smaller, rounder, perhaps even a little softer. I mean, an infant’s skull structure is made so that it can pass through the birth canal, and the bones fuse a bit after birth. What’s to say the horn of a magical cartoon pony is full size at that point?
Even if it did hurt – which I’m not ruling out – I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t hurt anymore than the birthing process itself.
Quadrupedal mammals are born legs first, so the horn isn’t going to get caught up on anything on the way out.
