Actually, after thinking about it for some time, I’m willing to say that season 2 was just as good as 1 (if not , better). While season 3 had a more emphasis on comedy. Season 4 tried to get back on track but by then it was too late. @IrieMangaStudios
Don’t forget the two BET episodes.

I could not deal with season four, two and three is what i had enjoyed the most, season one felt like it was trying to find it’s stride. Although, i did like the episodes of MLK’s wake up call speech, the block is hot (Jasmine’s lemonade stand), the itis, and Passion of Uncle Ruckus.

Favs were definitely: return of Stinkmeaner, fundraiser, kung-fu killer wolf bitch, red ball, pause, stinkmeaner’s crew, date with booty warrior, the story of Gangstalicious part 2

I could understand your reasons why you would not like boondocks, some blacks folks doesn’t like Empire for reasons as well. Doesn’t stop others of watching it, likewise with Tyler Perry films or Black Dynamite animated series.

Ya, as much as I didn’t like season one I could at lest sit through it, season two got on my nerves with how bad it blew, by third season I just didn’t care, and I just say one from season four and was banging my head on the wall.

This. imo first season of boondocks was the best, second season blew and was the worst (grandad’s fast talking was obnaxious and hard to follow) third was better and then the fourth was too little too late and not good enough to end with.

That was my mistake, I was on the assumption that people who claim to hate The Boondocks only saw one episode. This one person (who was black) made full page rant about the show a few years back. Only to later admit to not even seeing one episode. Although season 4 did suffer a bit due to McGruder’s departure, I will admit that.

I sent a commission to Strebiskunk(an mlp reviewer) to review Return of the King, he explains why this show’s good better than I could ever do. It may not your overall opinion on the show in general. Hopefully it’ll help you understand what the show ‘s trying to accomplish. I’ll post the link below.

Yep, definitely a missed opportunity. Though to be fair, anytime the makers mock a target (BET, Tyler Perry) they get harassed and have to back off. Easy to see why Macgruder gave up. Shame, as the animation is pretty good.

I hated most of the first season right off the bat, the few episodes I saw of the one in seasons 2-4, god damn is it worse.
And I looked at the comic strip, I can see way Macgruder stopped having anything to do with the show.

The first season was pretty incisive, but it steadily has become an example of “what white people think black people like,” to the point Aaron Macgruder had no involvement with the last season. People are smart enough to know when you are pandering to them, especially when you have no clue, like the hicks that run Cartoon Network.
