I love DeviantART because I’m used to it, it’s what I grew up using since six years ago, and because of the awesome Groups feature. People can hate on DA for all the reasons they went, but DA remains the only massive art site that lets you create, manage and promote your own self-created communities to the extent that it lets you do x3
i don’t like deviantart, but mostly because it’s not very good for writing unless it’s fetish-based or you’re already popular or you have a popular artist doing your cover. best art, but i prefer here because it’s practically all i’d be searching for anyways.

Whoa, calm down there. I thought that artists were supposed to embrace criticism, because that was the most surefire way for them to improve?
There’s also some general issues going on with the shoulders and how they connect to the torso, but I assume the artist is aware and practicing.
Doubtful :3 Unless the artist uploads their own stuff to, and have a predisposition for Derpi, they’re going to stick to the feedback they get from the places they actually post their stuff to.
This place is like Youtube for me and I imagine a lot of people, anyway. Come for the content, ignore and sometimes laugh at the comments.
You have a real attitude problem. The anatomy is objectively bad. Which is a shame, because the other stuff in it is really good. I would assume all developing artists would find objective, constructive criticism useful, ie, anatomy out of proportion, good pose and how weight is carried, good detailing, etc.
It’s the artist’s choice to draw whatever the hell they want to draw. You got a problem with it? Then get the hell out.

Saying “omg who cares about anatomy” is just inane and stupid because anatomy is the biggest part of drawing living creatures.
If your anatomy is bad, your art is bad. If your anatomy is good, your art is good. Saying that you don’t care about anatomy is essentially saying that you don’t care how bad the art is.
Yeah, artists shouldn’t try to improve. They should just doodle whatever, colour it in, and call it renaissance perfection.
No one cares about anatomy. We’re talking about FICTIONAL CARTOON HORSES here! Anatomy should be the LAST thing anyone cares about.
It totally is though. The proportions are more like a boa constrictor than either a pony or a human. Figure Drawing for all its worth is where this artist should start (if they ever read these comments). Beginner kids always try to do shading, outlines, etc, without being able to create proper structured forms.
Go to hell with your “bad anatomy” bitching.
