You play as the night shift security guard at a run-down parody of Chuck E. Cheese’s, a restaurant that caters to kids with birthday parties, pizza, and animatronic cartoon animals that sing and dance and bite entertain.
 
These adorable robots are almost completely harmless - during the day. In the poor lighting conditions at night, they tend to mistake people for animatronic skeletons in need of an empty costume… or empty costumes in need of an animatronic skeleton.
 
You’re stuck in a security office watching very grainy and dark camera feeds of the rest of the building, your only defense against these things are electromagnetic secuirty doors. Every action you take from closing the doors to checking the cameras drains power however, and if you run out all the lights go out, the doors open and you are completely at the mercy of the robots they are not merciful
 
It’s a remarkably well done horror game that takes advantage of the natural creepiness of old-fashioned animatronic puppets, always staring directly at the cameras with a dead, soul eating gaze, and the sense of dread and helplessness from the fact that you need to leave yourself exposed in order to conserve enough power to last the entire night.
 
The pirate fox bastard in this image is one of the more notorious characters… from the second night on, he lurks behind a curtain with his damn glow-in-the-dark eyes. If you don’t keep an eye on him, or if you watch him too much, he will sprint down the hallway going CLANK CLANK CLANK and you are given just barely enough time to close the camera screen and press the button to lock the doors before he mangles you, but you can only manage that if you don’t piss yourself the moment you see him move. Nobody can their first time.

You stay in one room and control lights and doors for the two entryways while monitoring security cameras on your tablet. You’re not meant to leave the room, but to prevent others from getting in it, but the only clues you have are the cameras and the lights.
