Agreed. Fluff is one of the few OCs that I like. It’s whimsical and, as you said, ludicrous. That works in her favor.
It’d like it if my OC could attain such likeability with people, but I doubt it. The character would be picked apart, being viewed as a self-insert, Rule63 version of Twilight Sparkle who’s name isn’t Dusk Shine.
Fluffle Puff is an oversized tribble, and why she’s latched onto Chrysalis, of all… beings, I guess is the word?… I can’t begin to fathom. That thing is ludicrous, plain and simple.
Needless to say, I consider her one of the most delightful OCs the fandom has created.

There should be at less one fic where a mary sue OC attempts to become instantly friend of the mane six but instead he/she is kidnapped and tortured to death by them. And then the body is thrown away in a trash container but nobody seems to care.

Agreed. For me, it’s her lack of speech and randomness that draw me in. It’s also interesting for her to be so expressive without speaking. Chrysalis combined with an infinite source of love is rather amusing.
What I would love to see is Tirek trying to harm Fluff, and Chrysalis ripping him to shreds because he would dare harm her friend and source of nutrition.

Sorry, but I disagree. Fluffle puff seems to have the personality of a rock, lacks an explanation for so many of the strange/unique things she is apparently capable of doing, and everything in the blog revolves around her, rather than a proper OC revolving around the canon elements. If you ask me, that sounds like a pretty poor character. I just never understood why it got to be so popular.
If you don’t still hate OCs, you must not be reading any fanfics.
