In some peoples maybe. I understand where your coming from. I have my own preferences just as you. And even though I may prefer the more lighter skin tone I have no problem with darker ones. It just depends on how it’s handled.

Why must there be two versions of this picture with Luna as a Dark Skinned girl and Light Skinned? (assuming they didn’t already have these two versions prepared already)
 
Why can’t we all just accept whatever the artist had intended and not judge it so harshly, so that they don’t have to r-edit it all over? Same goes for most other pics. I’ve seen the whole Mane 6 as Black girls. I found it rather unique and charming. Its a step away from the stereotype of having every major character in shows and stuff being drop dead gorgeous white girls. Its annoying.
 
Why not more diversity and imagination? Well, at least its how I fell. I know many people will disagree, but its my opinion. I’m not forcing anyone to agree with me. Just putting it out there.
