They were complaining about the word “suck,” because back then it was almost like cussing.
 
I saw a li’l of the new CGI “The Garfield Show,” some of the remarks aren’t bad, but it just doesn’t feel the same as the old Garfield & Friends, or TV specials to me. (Don’t know if that’s just the ‘90s nostalgia talking, but I noticed they do recycle some jokes from the old show to oddly. I think Mark Evanier the writer for Garfield & Friends works on the new show to, which is why.)  
I’m also sad Garfield’s original voice actor Lorenzo Music passed away. While Frank Welker does a decent imitation of him, he just isn’t the same.
