Okey doke.
You know, one thing I really do find irritating is when people put words in my mouth. I NEVER said anything like that, tough guy.
@Splinter
I’m all for parental vigilance, but it’s impossible to watch a child 24/7. And besides, when I was a kid, I was always more adept with computers than my parents. Try as they might, they would find it difficult to control the content I had access to.
But so we’re all clear, I already said I didn’t think there was anything to do about it on a large scale, ESPECIALLY in terms of legislation. I’m not a fan of big government in the least. However, I AM supportive of people’s right to speak their mind about things they take to be offensive, whether justified or not.
btw I didn’t meant to somehow insult you.
Not being arrogant, just saying a facts. If you leave your children unattended on the internet without a proper filtering they get to explicit contents sooner or later.
Ha! What a presumptuous, arrogant thing to say. You have no inkling about who I am or how responsibly I deal with my family. Typical internet snobbery.
No it’s not and for a good reason. If you think the internet is for everyone then, please, never have a child until you’ll learn something about responsibility.
Abuse it, you lose it.
>But they shouldn’t bitch about it either
Why not? People certainly have the right to protest whatever they find objectionable.
Kind of like with the Derpy fiasco, it was the haters’ prerogative to do what they did. I happen to think they should have been summarily ignored when they did pipe up, but unfortunately that was not the case.
And yes, people are indeed bound to come across such stuff eventually, but I’m sure many parents would prefer the kids be well out of childhood first.
But they shouldn’t bitch about it either. Maybe at least flag it to be filtered? Because, children are bound to bump into these things eventually.
The internet is for everyone, not just adults (who don’t handle it responsibly anyway). Children can’t be monitored 24/7, and access to the web is pretty much everywhere these days. I wouldn’t blame anyone for finding this comination of circumstances to be a tad disagreeable.
Is there anything to be done to hold back the tide of R34 content? Highly doubtful. But just because there will always be porn online based on shows meant for small children, that doesn’t mean anyone has to like it or stay quiet about it.
The internet is not for kids in the first place and it is really irresponsible from parents to leave their kids on the internet alone.
Hello there, you appear to be on the internet for the first time ever. Let me introduce you to the rules. I’ll skip down the list for the moment, as right now the most relevant one for you to know seems to be Rule 34.
They’re no longer helping to pay her bills. She’s done with MLP.
Arguably the fact that it’s a kids show, and that’s a pretty sizable departure from the original intent. I don’t have time to debate that right now though, so I’m not gonna defend the position this time around.
What’s wrong with porn?
No we don’t. Doesn’t mean I can’t have a little fun with the obvious conflict of interest.
