Probably ‘cause Microsoft wants them, or something, I don’t know… Only way we’ll get a new BK game, or Conker is if they outsource it to another development company like they did the new “Killer Instinct.”

I will admit that I don’t know much about copyright law but.  
If they are not going to do anything with banjo and kazooie or conker why don’t they just sell the licenses to another company?

As already said, they’re pretty much already screwed. Especially, if they have to depend on “Kinnect Sports,” and that game alone to support their company.
 
I remember how vibrant, and cool their official website was, with entire pages dedicated to each game they made, (and even had exclusive artwork for games like Banjo Kazooie, the DKC trilogy, and such I never saw before, not even in game magazines) and now look at how empty their official site is now…

Screw you, Rare.

RareWare fans and Criterion fans should start a support group. Ours is a special kind of hell.

RareWare is dead unfortunately, the years of greatness that was brought to us will no longer exist again. So say goodbye to Banjo, Conker and the Rare side of Donkey Kong

Yeah, it’s not very professional… Granted Rare’s old Q&A things, and such were “tongue in cheek,” but weren’t so downright mean-spirited like this.
 
Also, honestly who here knows Rare best for “Kinect Sports,” or wants them to only make those kinda “Wii Sports rip-off” games from now on?  
(Should probably also add, 3 million sales is small compared to how much “Wii Sports” sold actually.)

Wow, that’s a pretty bad company response. Someone asks a question politely and maturely and they get a response from a jerk. Usually it’s the question asked that sounds stupid and mean and the answer is very polite and mature.

Yeah, even the Conker X-Box remake wasn’t as well-received as the N64 original. Surprisingly it also had more censorship then the original did. (And ironically it was billed as “Uncut” during it’s development.)

You’re not being a fanboy if you’re stating fact. I can’t think of a single game Rare made for Xbox that was well recieved overall.

At this point, I’d even welcome a Banjo Kazooie/Tooie remake for 3DS.  
(Hey, they made games for GBA & DS, which Microsoft allowed, considering they aren’t in competition with those systems. …Though, oddly they did edit out Banjo & Conker out of “Diddy Kong Racing DS”)

I already have “Wii Sports,” why would I want “Kinect Sports?”
 
As a huge fan of Rareware this does kinda make me sad to see… Rare/Microsoft doesn’t seem to have any passion for their old series. Doesn’t help, most of the original staff for games like “Banjo Kazooie,” and such no longer work at Rare. Only way we’ll ever see a new BK game is if Rare, or Microsoft outsource it to another game developer. (Like they’re doing with the new “Killer Instinct.”)
 
Also, sadly X-Box fans aren’t usually into platformers, so games like “Banjo Kazooie” & “Conker” don’t do to well on their consoles… I hate to sound like a Nintendo-fanboy, but I wish Rare was still with Nintendo honestly. (They were certainly better off with them.)

Circular logic, the only games they’ve made in the past few years is Kinect Sports. Therefore it is automatically their most popular games by default.

The Stamper bros. left soon after the buyout, and Rare has been in freefall ever since.

Of all the companys that had to be turned into a miserable husk of what it once was, why did it have to be Rare? And if what the guy in the E-mail is true then why did Killer Instinct get revived, and why is there an enormous amount of people wanting a true Banjo-Threeie? You can’t go pure on recent sales trends if you ask me, you have to remember what you brought to the industry that no one else could, but sadly it’s just too late for Rare, when they die, they will die with all the dignity they once had all gone, and thats just a crying shame.
