This drawing… although from the context it was immediately clear to me it was Fluttershy, it could be anything! Is it a lightbulb on top of a chair? A pear on an oddly-shaped pear stand? An exercise machine now used to dry pink towels?

All those things point me to this interpretation: the drawing criticizes the ever-growing tendency in our society to avoid putting much effort or thought into what we do. We may never get around to screwing in that lightbulb, or to fixing (or replacing) that pear stand, or to exercising.

The artist chose to fill in the head and hair stroke by stroke instead of through the fill tool, an artistic decision intended to show us the results of our laziness. In addition, Fluttershy’s mane and tail are too short. This could be so that they are easier to take care of. Finally, this version of Fluttershy (who I assume is an adult) has no cutie mark, which fits in well with the theme: a Fluttershy that does nothing, can be good at nothing and thus have no special talent.

How bold! How daring! How artistic! Now, this is modern art, and I think I like it! Upvote and favorite for you, my good sir!

well, sincerely, i think there are worse things seen around here due to their more-expressive crudeness
what i mean is, this doesn’t make you post “UNSEE” pics and jokes…this is eyes-friendly compared to that

or maybe it’s because it doesn’t have an agonizing face…

This has thumbs up? 4 year olds can draw better than this. It doesn’t even work as parody art
