While it would be nice to see Discord appear as Q, they have said his first comic appearance is the next FF #2, later this month.

However, Rainbow is clearly Kirk here. Even non-nerds can get into Kirk. Or Sisko.
That’s pretty much what they said earlier on in the comic: Rainbow Dash is just making up her own story now.
Never figured her for a trekkie though. She’s a bigger nerd than we thought.
Does it matter? If you have set of a story that basically lets you break genres, might as well do whatever you can. (Also, there are ST fictional works with unique stories from the show).
