Description

Scene from “Survivor Shy”, a story that follows Fluttershy living in a world completely and suddenly devoid of other ponies.

With nopony to turn to, Fluttershy is forced to learn to fend for herself, and find a way, if possible, to bring back ponykind and save Equestria.

The story is told through the images, and the story excerpts they inspire. The scenes are not typically created and uploaded in chronological order, making the true turn of events a mystery that the readers must unravel as more scenes are revealed.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

“My second trip to Canterlot was going as badly as I expected it to. I had already been chased by Diamond Dogs, and the threatening roars of Dragons reminded me that I’d probably be chased by one of those soon enough, too. But I felt compelled to come back here, a strong dedication to go back to Canterlot Tower and hope that I could learn what became of the Elements shortly after being caught in the middle of battle between the warring Dogs and Dragons.

“A chill in the breeze caused me to shiver, and I realised that it was beginning to snow. I stopped for a moment, confused at the sight. ‘Winter is still months away,’ I pondered aloud, ‘So why is Cloudsdale releasing the Winter weather early?’ The realisation hit me just as I finished my sentence; there were no ponies in Cloudsdale managing the Weather Factory, so something could’ve gone wrong, and the Winter weather could’ve been allowed to form early.

“I shook my head and broke out into a steady canter before my mind could conjure up thoughts of Cloudsdale being completely desolate, and focused on getting to Canterlot Tower. On the way, while making sure I remained unseen, I looked at the damage the city had taken, as well as the castle. While the fires seemed to have burned out for the most part, countless buildings had been levelled, and parts of the palace had been destroyed.

“Like the majority of the castle, Canterlot Tower was nothing more than a ruin with a missing roof. The door was sealed shut by debris on the inside, so I flew over the wall and landed down on top of the rubble, disturbing some dust and snowflakes with my wings. My heart began to sink as I looked over the destruction. I had once seen all of the Elements of Harmony in here, along with Princess Celestia’s crown. But in the chaos of the fight, and in the rush to escape, I had left with only the Princess’ crown, and a gang of Diamond Dogs hounding me down.

“I shivered again, only this time out of fear from the memory than the chilly air. I started walking on the rubble idly, not sure what to do, until I saw a faint light under some bricks.

“I perked up and started making my way over to the light, as I got closer, it became stronger, and brighter. I hurried up and rushed over, starting to dig the source of the light free from the rubble. As I lifted and pushed a shattered slab out of the way, I gasped at what I saw in surprise. There, laying in the debris, was the Element of Magic, glowing brightly and giving out a comforting blanket of heat.

“I had never seen any of the Elements of Harmony do this before, at least not without my friends and I using them to save Equestria from Nightmare Moon or Discord. I held my hoof over the tiara tentatively, worried that it might be hot to the touch or otherwise dangerous to disturb. But the Element seemed to glow brighter and become more warm the closer my hoof got to it, as if it was beckoning me to pick it up.

“Slowly, I reached for the Element, intending to scoop it up and place it inside my saddlebag. But when my hoof connected with it, jolts of magic coursed up my foreleg and swept over me. A strange, relaxing warmth followed and I felt myself start to fall into a deep slumber. I should have started to panic, but I was too tired to even stand up, and somehow, I knew that there was no reason to be afraid.

“I closed my eyes, and drifted away to another world.”
