What would this chart look like now?

When I do S3, I’ll obviously be basing it on Derpibooru. Since the exact dates and times are shown here, I’ll be able to create the graphs with much more detail and accuracy. That should make it easier to pinpoint the exact causes of activity changes.

Yup, hardly surprising results. I don’t think I need to comment, we’ve discussed everything several times.
 
We should totally establish the descriptive tag tradition here too.

I think Ponibooru had a major slowdown during March.

Aww man … fucking ponibooru. I had almost moved on, and then you have to come here and remind me. Make me think of all those pictures with all of those tags … nice, descriptive tags.

Right now you only manage to remind me of how fast time has passed. It’s been exactly three months since S2 ended. A year ago we knew practically nothing about S2. Discord was mostly a rumor.

March 2012’s lull was likely due to students’ exams and final projects, but the hype and reception April 2012’s S2 clincher (possibly in addition to tired students needing a break) may have caused that sudden spike. January of last year probably benefited from a winter vacation and the expanding fanbase up to that point.
 
It seems the consensus on episode quality has little to do with the growth rate–with the aforementioned exception of “A Canterlot Wedding.” Note the lauded S2 premier coincided with a slight decrease in activity.
 
Ponibooru’s site-side issues probably impeded further activity in its latter days.
