that’s just a double meaning; her cutiemark is an oven, for baking pastries, but she likes having a "bun in the oven"

You and I seem to have markedly different weirdness thresholds-especially considering this universe’s general level of structure-warping lunacy. Might as well leave it at that.

A Perfectly Normal Pony - <Black_Box> Do all the mods have a ban button?
Magnificent Metadata Maniac - Tagging machine, for good or for worse.
Responsible Disclosure
From the Night - He tagged too hard
Not a Llama - Happy April Fools Day!
Cool Crow - "Caw!" An awesome tagger
Equality - In our state, we do not stand out.
Notoriously Divine Tagger - Consistently uploads images above and beyond the minimum tag requirements. And/or additionally, bringing over the original description from the source if the image has one. Does NOT apply to the uploader adding several to a dozen tags after originally uploading with minimum to bare tagging.

Because I was talking about real life equines, not ponies.

I also somehow doubt that they’d even consider abortion in their universe as a viable option, no matter how much of an inconvenience having the foal would cause.

Twins do happen rarely in equines, but the births are extremely dangerous, and pregnancies resulting in twins are typically aborted by the mare’s owners.

Between FIM-verse ponies’ supernatural mojo, apparently unnatural durability (Derpy busting Town Hall apart with her rump, etc.), and already cartoony proportions? Yes, I’d say there’s ample reason to give exaggerated bumps a pass so long as ’hyper’ territory (i.e. more belly than pony) hasn’t been hit. Hell, look at the elastic bodily/facial distortions Pinkie Pie demonstrates and tell me FIM cares one whit about ’realistic’ limits.

Sure, real horses don’t do the twin thing that commonly. I hear tell they’re no closer to flight, tool usage, or arcane experimentation as well. Go figure.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

It’s main the proportions of the characters.

FiM Ponies are rather small compared to real ponies. Also it depends on twins, triplets or what have you. Sure I don’t think I have ever heard of a horse having twins, but in MLP we have already confirmed twins.
