Yes, people, you absolutely could drink even if the other didn’t suck their end of the straw: They just have to keep air from going into the straw from their nasal passage.

I saw the tweet, but only through reddit, so I don’t think I saw the whole fandom reaction to it.
Exhibit A: The fandom’s reaction to Meghan McCarthy’s obviously-joking tweet about one of RD’s lines in “Castle Mane-ia”.
Mm, although the backlash following an announcement like that from the writer would be
gloriouscatastrophic to behold.Lauren Faust can say what she wants about ponies’ poop being used to fertilise flowers, and pegasi farting helium, but the minute a show writer makes a comment relating to shipping and relationships, you just know that, either way, it’s going to be a shitstorm of grand proportions.
I’m not even a huge shipper. I just don’t know how else to interpret that scene. I know none of the ponies are dating each other. The humans of AJ and RD on the other hand…(shrug)…it seems to be the most reasonable interpretation. If their is another way to interpret it, I’d love for the writer of EG to clue us in.

Matchmaker? I thought human RD and AJ were ALREADY in a relationship, unlike their pony counterparts. The conversation from a distance and Pinkie and the others only guessing what they were saying seemed to imply they were resolving a lover’s spat.
