I imagine that dan done something really bad to making pinkie sad like ruin a party she threw for him and then telling her. and this is him making up for that, dan’s a jerk not a asshole

I kinda see the logic.  
Going back to the RD thing, I guess I do pride myself in being very loyal to people. And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t indulge in jackass behaviors from time to time.

I’m with CronoM. The Hub made them interact so it seems more natural to us now.

I don’t really get the whole opposites attract thing.  
It would be like me being with a human version of Rainbow Dash. I probably wouldn’t enjoy it.
