if you’d look you would see you are the one that escalated things. my original comment was a half hearted shock humor joke playing off Background human’s association with McCarthy. it didnt even apply much of a negative attitude at that, assuming you could make the connection between the two comments. failure to meet the same standards isnt exactly negative, so much as it is like leading a horse to water. you cant just make someone like something/someone if they dont want to.
and I only matched your retort, cherry picking some scenario and making an obnoxious opinion followed by an even more obnoxious image macro. hell, lets look at the beginning of this post and your post…
I dont hate McCarthy, infact my most favorite episode, Lesson Zero, is written by her. But that doesnt mean I’m going to get on my knees and start fellating her and I treat Faust no different. though a comment like being most proud of the season 4 finale, something that wont be viewed for probably another 4 months, sounds incredibly pretentious. I’m not a fan of that.
I love the show. it’s great quality entertainment to those who can look past the original shows target demographic. but you also cant ignore that it is in a decline, and that is not a nice feeling. sure fads come and go and what not, but this is something I personally want to see succeed, and though it has done an exceptional job so far that just makes the fall all the more painful.
generally anyone who makes themselves notable that is associated with something negative tends to receive the backlash. just look how everyone generally viewed president Obama with the whole economy stuff.
unfortunately Mccarthy has made herself a target for quite a bit of unjust criticism. but she can take it. because she’s not our hero…
though i’m not exactly going to stand up for larson for the abomination that is MMC, but that is another topic for another post. maybe. probably not.
this is a show I have great admiration for. it’s such a phenomena that one cant help but do so. and of course the ride is going to get bumpy every now and then, but that is no reason to just give up on it. I like the show, a lot. it’s a great show. but that doesnt mean I wont give it shit if it fucks up(COUGHCOUGHtwilicornCOUGHCOUGHCOUGH).
now if you dont mind, I dont enjoy being in a bad mood over some sass, especially so when it is associated with a concept i have such high regard for, and would love to move on.

If you’re so upset over this travesty go support her new ip instead of sticking around here even though the show’s doing better than ever.
You act like those two didn’t write for season one and weren’t fan favorite episodes and just cause now it doesn’t say “Lauren Faust” in every instance of the credits everything is horrible. Obviously something of worth is still here otherwise you wouldn’t be here, and even if you feel like you can justify it by saying “Oh I’m just watchin the ship burn” or whatever, it’s still something interesting enough to keep your attention. You’re the one still investing time and effort in watching the show and being in the community, you’re the only one losing anything while everything else gains.
If you’re really tired of it, really sick of it, just walk out the door and don’t come back, otherwise, realize you’re still willingly on this boat when you’re offered a ride off at any time.

It always sucks in the off-season for any show fandom. Things always get better when the show is actually airing new eps.
