The Old Jedi Order are so fucking stupid for outright banning love and attachment because…well look at Anakin…kinda screwed themselves over by doing that…
 
What they should’ve done is TEACH how too MUCH attachment can lead to the dark side so that way Anakin wouldn’t have to hide his relationship with Padme and can have better control over his feelings.

I agree with Luke and Jolee. You don’t outright destroy attachment, feelings, etc, you reign it in (Like controlling a horse)

It really depends on if you’re talking first trilogy, or crazy messed up prequels.
 
In the first trilogy, it wasn’t that you had to avoid feelings. Feelings were what you reached out with, after all. You appreciate what you experience, but you don’t crave more and more.
 
The feeling is a byproduct of the action, rather than vice versa.
