“Even better if anything.” Base don one instance where she pointed out what she didn’t like about her gala dress? Rarity was already stressed out and probably didn’t put her best hoof forward. Also, maybe Fluttershy has unrealistic expectations.
Lets start an “Applejack and Dash should swap elements” nonsense. Rarity fulfills her element just fine.
Fluttershy could very much do Rarity’s job, even better if anything, but it’s probably true that Fluttershy doesn’t see the point in making dresses. And ya, Fluttershy has shown kindness, as well as more generosity than Rarity; Fluttershy is all about selflessness.
If that was the case (Rarity’s job) Fluttershy would have a boutique. You can be very talented in an area but not give a damn about it in regards to a career.
As for generosity/kindness, they can be seen as rather similar.
Fluttershy does do Rarity’s job/element better than her come to think of it.
