I do not think she "hopped on", likely she was the one who engineered the shitstorm in the first place. Not long before DWM, there was somewhat if a scuffle between her and Derpibooru that resulted in her DNPing. She called the site "rape apologists" and retreated off to tumblr. Judging from how Pinkiepony is barely able to grab as much attention now as she did during DWM and the fact that she was obscure to the fandom before then. PP is just plain too incompetant to orchhestrate this. It was likely DD was the one pulling the strings. DD is even more zealously determined to destroy Bronies than even pp was. I heard that she also has a possible connection with the tumblr moderation.
