Interesting to note that this style of portrait is very much the exception to the rule when it comes to Night Guard Officers and particularly the Von Nocturne family: the Counts of the Nocturnal Palace. Very often they are much more conservative. One gets the feeling she decided she prefered to make herself comfortable for the duration of the painting.
