I dont get it.
I get it if you dont like a character; even for all I go on about how I love the show I can see the flaws in the characters, and sometimes when they go against their element it can be frustrating rather than just being a good episode to show they have other sidesand then there are some other traits people wont like.
Pinkie Pie coming across as annoying, Rarity more than constantly defying her element more than pretty much anyone of the show, Rainbow Dash beingRainbow Dash, and I can get if you just really dont like the character but
Hating it? To the ultimate point where you actually make a concentrated effort to hate it? Where you actually go on to make entire groups and such?
I do get fans doing the same becausethey actually like it, so of course they would dedicate their time to something they really like. But dedicating time to something you absolutely cannot stand?
maybe because I just never truly hated anything, I dont get why people would put true effort. I mean, I dont like a lot of popular things: Adventure Time, Homestuck, Moulin Rouge, that goddamned Spiderwick movie that ripped apart the good books, I dont hate them enough to put that much effort into it. Why would I want to solely concentrate on something Im not a fan of?
Rant over for this one.
The point of his post is that Twi’s element has no dictation of morality and simply relies on her already being magical by birth
You had me until you reached the part about Twi’s element.
Tell me, what’s the show’s title again?
I laughed way too hard
I always find element arguments very silly. The “elements” are there as an excuse to give the characters their magic friendship laser necklaces.
They are not supposed to be robots programmed to behave in only a certain way.
Besides, the very fact that Twilight has a completely abstract element which she can never represent or not represent (casting spells is not the same as being honest or whatever) completely excludes her from such arguments which is pretty unfair to the other characters, which all have times when they both represent them or not.
True, I guess my problem is that I have a friend who is a Shadow fan and I never hated him I just didn’t care about him. But despite how annoying people can be about things you can’t really change them.
Sounds more like your issue than hers when you think about it.
Kind of hard to write personal conflicts with any dramatic tension without having a character be less than altruistic.
And the others are often just rule of funny larks
To be honest, I rarely ever see Shadow-fans nowadays. I find Shadow-haters just as annoying. Especially, when they complain about him being “emo,” and such, and he hasn’t really been emo sense the Shadow solo game. (Which story-wise brought closure to his angst, at least.) Not to mention, he’s rarely been featured in Sonic games lately aside from the Olympics/Racing games so why complain about his existence?
I don’t know, fanatical character-hatred is just as annoying to me, as fanatical character-love.
To be fair Shadow fans are more annoying then the character.
That’s actually not the intent of this stamp.
Here’s a quote from the source link.

Yeah, you should see how bad Sonic fans get when you talk about a Sonic character they dislike. (Such as Shadow, or something.)
