How I deal loot when I DM:
“You find your gold all replaced by high yield long-term bonds. You have several hundred thousand gold, but you may not access it for 3D20 years, If you attempt to you will suffer a D100+20% reduction in total gold, and a loss of the ability to take out credit. If you would like, you may roll to find a good lawyer who can lower it to 2D20 years, at a reduction of D20+10% of the gold, and a contract fee equal to 1/2 of that.”
