ehhh they were not that bad. Imagine being around for 1929 heading into 1930. Then if that whole decade wasn’t bad enough 1939-1945 reared it’s ugly head. That’s nearly two decades of the greatest amount of human suffering ever known from every method possible. Compared to that i’d say we were all pretty well off. On top of that nobody remembers the oil market crash of 2019 preceeding 2020 and how 2020 made it even worse to our benefit. It shook a lot of faith in the oil market and prices haven’t been that high since. in my area fuel is still reasonably priced as a result. That was a major relief off everyone still working’s shoulders considering it’s the only thing that had a reasonable amount of deflation within the past few years.
