Sweet, this is starting to make it over here now. I love writing Hope stories.

I did borrow a few elements from Wonder Project J2. Josette was a robot had to be taught about the world and how to interact with people. This girl here is herself an anomaly, something that has never been seen in either of the worlds that birthed her. For me, the homage in design evoked a sense of isolation, innocence, and being different from everyone around her while being superficially similar.

…and then Lyra became Hatsune Miku.

It’s more then just similar pigtails, they are held in place by clips of the same type as this and both have an ocarina of the same type hanging from there neck, heck if you recolor everything from the waist up to that of the colors of Josette there you have a Josette image.

I’d rather not ask about the crimes of science and magic that created her, but I will say that Lyra’s daughter is one of the cutest half-human abominations ever.

I heard of that Japan-only N64 game before, (I remember reading about it in an old Nintendo Power magazine, or something) the girl Josette (who’s actually a robot) does have similar pigtails.

Well I can tell you this, me having a slight tone of disdain towards Nintendo is WRONG, mostly from Zelda being one of may favorite game series(it’s one of three I have owned all the games of at some point).

Additionally, your comment has a slight tone of disdain towards Nintendo, but it’s only a slight feeling. I’m halfway certain you don’t have a fanatical attachment to one or another company, much like most gamers today who seem to own all three major consoles.

Ah, yes, my reference was only one of many sorts of tangents. Thinking I made an exclusive point of interest based on semantics/rhetoric/whatever it’s called– I’m a bit tired today, is like saying a certain Chrono Trigger ending is the only ending that matters… Admittedly, I side with Nintendo largely, I seem to see in my comments.
 
All in all, the main idea is you gotta cool out. Don’t take absolutely everything seriously, which is why I don’t flip my wig when I get flamed by Renard last week… Unrelated, lol. :)

My point was more that there was nothing about the ocarina being from anywhere or any Zelda talk, then you come in and go right to OoT, make it seem like you think ocarinas only come from there.  
Yes not everyone knows of them but to go right to talking of OoT to bring them up is no way to go about it, you should try to tell them what it is not that it’s something in OoT.

Of course, not everypony gets how to speak the word thanks to OoT reviews/commercials/etc., but get it from elder forms of pop culture or even another source like Grandma or the Ren Fair. I, being on the threshold of Gen X and Gen Y, had to learn lots of things secondhand, partly ’cause I owned a Saturn and Dreamcast, but mostly ’cause I was clingy with my parents for too long… Not that all of those are completely connected. ._.;;;
