I loved both twilight sparkle and king sombra because they both are the perfect match for each other. I shipped both of their names into twibra.

I never understood why they didn’t just set the comics in a parallel universe. The show AND the comics each dealt with parallel universes, so it’s not an alien concept to either continuity. Instead of trying to swim up a waterfall they could have done some real interesting stuff with it. Differences in characterizations could have been attributed to (and even done deliberately as) character divergence. Maybe have an issue where the comic characters and the show characters meet and poke fun at each other. Maybe have it where comic Sombra turned evil because he was influenced by show Sombra. Maybe Cozy Glow is actually from the comic universe and her ultimate goal was to gain the power to just go home, but she was so desperate she was willing to do absolutely unforgivably evil things to do it (like Nox from Wakfu). Stuff like that :P

Like, I largely am unaware of the comics because I basically just ignore them outright, but even I am wholly aware of just how thirsty someone on that comic team must have been for reformed King Sombra because, my god, they referenced it every chance they got. It crossed into desperation, like to the point where (and this sounds douchy to say) it was actually kind of pathetic. I actually felt kind of bad for them XD

Most of them are pretty attractive. Like, Chrysalis and Nightmare Moon are full-on gothic supermodels. Even the Pony of Shadows is pretty sexy in his own right :D

Color is a little finicky. Usually I just pull the colors from another one of my pictures, and sometimes when they’re uploaded to Derpi the colors change slightly. I’m pretty sure it’s an optimization thing :P

in the written by spike comic. we learn that spike wrote all of the mlp idw comics. he said he wanted to write down every adventure him and his friends went on set 2 years after twilight moved to ponyville. the reason the comics and the show cannon are different is because spike had a hard time remembering everything that happened and spike had to ask his friends what did when he was not in the comic…. no doubt they did what pinkie,rarity and applejack did in the episode pony point of view. so all of the comics are cannon to the show. since the season 10 comics mentions the other idw comics

Kinda.. In the written by spike story it is reveled that spike made all of idw comics. The reason the comics has continuity errors is because spike was a kid when he made them
