Damn…this was an intense read…worse that I can see it actually happening.
I know the show will never attempt such serious topics, but looking at Sunny,it isn’t hard to believe that between her missing her dad, and the way Maretime Bay dismissed/berated her until she got a shiny new “Alicorn” that she’d have a depressive disorder of some type.
Whatever inspired you to do this…you did an amazing job of depicting the internal battle, and I wish you all the best both with art and real life.

Even with all the darkness for the sake of being edgy in this fandom, it still feels like there’s an unusually amount of bittersweet darkness with a point here compared to elsewhere.

This ranks right up there with A Fleeting Light in the Darkness in proving that stories do not need to be 600,000 words to be grippingly compelling.

Unlike canon MLP, the happy ending was not preordained. It makes it all the more well-earned.

Well.
That was an eye opener.
Im currently on a diet. Im doing good. I eat better. Smaller. Healthier. I “feel” good too. I feel great when i see the “Numbers” go down on my bathroom scales. To me this means progress. And slowly saying “get lost” to an self inflicted unhealthy life style.
But i have learned a more…sinister perspective to weight loss.
i have learned a perspective from this series that is not talked about frequently. A much more extreme and critically unhealthy perspective. Anorexia.
I have ALWAYS been aware of the threat Anorexia poses. But i have learned a little more about it thanks to this series.
The world must tackle Anorexia and address this problem that exists.
It is FAR worse than simply “not eating” and “feeling sad”. It is MUCH worse…MUCH more sinister. Theres a quiet fight happening “Up there” behind the eyes. And the effects it has over time.
I would like to praise the Artist. Who ever you are. You did a have done an outstanding job. And if you have currently any situations you are going through, I wish you good health.
