You know how many shennanigans Cupid gets up to in cartoons, or what happens when someone gets their hands on his bow and arrows? Cadance has all that built-in.
Also? Waaaay too many things can go wrong with her abilities.
And I’d guess the other part of the reason is that Fancy Pants isn’t there and Cadance is.
True enough about Fancy and Fleur. They could have very little to do with each other canonically, though I do follow the fanon that Fleur is his wife. Though I wouldn’t be bothered to discover differently.
And poor(?) Cadence. She causes a lot of problems like this in the fan art, doesn’t she?
I think part of the reason is that we aren’t entirely sure what Fancy Pants’ relation to Fleur is.
Also, we’re talking about Cadance’s reaction because she’s directly responsible for this mess.
