These are some development concepts for a My Little Pony G5 2D show pitch done in 2019 at Boulder Media, before the project was placed on hold.
It was a fun collaboration between myself (Character Concept Art), Finnbarr Martin (Art Direction), Piotr Bzdura (Concept Art), Paul O’Flanagan (Direction), and Gillian Comerford (Direction).

I mean, they designed her to be that way.

Also I like how Pipp and Zipp are Sisters, but somewhat opposite in terms of personality and body type. Introvert/extrovert, tall/short, skinny/chubby etc.

Pipp being short isn’t news. Pipp having “No body confidence issues”, which is consistent with how she’s been portrayed in all official material, IS news to fans who’ve been making jokes about it.
