She really is a tragic figure. We speculate she had some hoof in the ignoring of her sister, and was the one to banish Luna herself. Then she needs to be reminded of her failure every night. Then she has to live for over a thousand years, and watch everyone she knows grow old and die. Then she has to actually lead an entire nation for a thousand years. I imagine she had to go to war a few times, and being such a mythical figure, probably got a good number of her soldiers killed by making bad calls, because war is hell and bad calls happen. On top of all this, she has to keep her cool and wear a smile for the nation, no matter what she actually feels.

I’m a Luna fanboi straight up, but Celestia is no slouch. She’s fucking boss, and she’s proven it.
