k can’t get over how much better this is than the shit show Hasbro feed us in the .last set of comics would also note that I had thought Celestia was just going to stick to starswirls indoctrination his three flaws a skewed sense of good and evil and refusal to believe in duality and redemption. and yeah were all upset by how it ended unfairly and rushed writing
which is why I’m taking over I’m ret-connoning the entire reality and fixing these flaws though I think I’ll just go interdemensail time travel instead…

Okay this one’s kinda taking the comics as somewhat canon. She has a long history of doing what shes done in the comics.
Though all comics are questionably canon considering Sombras redemption in the comics obviously never happened

I’m fine with people wanting Tirek and Cozy to have a chance, but Chrysalis deserves to be stoned, even if it’s with clause that make it eventually temporary. At least Tirek has common sense regarding Windigos, and Cozy is…a child.

This is really a trainwreck on similar magnitude with ManipulativeDumbledore! Fics.
Granted the season did have massive problems, like Discord got scott free and how they decided to use possibly psycho filly as one of the last big bad that complicated writing process. But at least Chrysalis deserves to get stoned for repeatedly rejects friendship and denied Tirek and Cozy’s possible betterment. And yet this comic pretend she’s ‘not that bad’?

Yeah, just from hearing you describe the comic in your example in that way kinda points to this. I haven’t heard of the comic you’re describing but just getting premise is easy enough.
In fact in one rendition, it’s the reason why Lex Luthor hates him and it even made the people who know about the rendition agree with him in a limited degree.

Huh, I was certain she was implying she’d fight them if they wouldn’t back down.. Turns out she had a MUCH more effective plan, definitely suits her character too.
Hypothetically, had she fought them, she’d likely lose. Celestia and Luna would have then carried out anything they deemed fit.
This way however, she forces them to lose herself aswell if they wish to kill them for good.

It wasnt a funny comic.
It was literally Spike and Celestia being captured and when asked why she didn’t do anything Celestia’s response is
“I don’t want people to be dependent on me, thats why I test Twilight so she can be better.”
And again, stop acting like a serious setting and story set in the same universe is going to get the same childish writing.
Multiple genres and levels of writing can exist in the same franchise and property.

Dude, don’t even bring in the comics. Even if they were canon it’s a different team of writers than the show who clearly had their own ideas of how to go about things, so characterization there doesn’t necessarily reflect the show, which this fan comic is clearly continuing from.
Edit: I also want to add that both the comics and show are also kid friendly AND comedy. Characters will make dumb or “wasteful” decisions if it’s funny so, again, stop treating the setting like a serious drama where character actions had massive weight.
