Home For Hearth’s Warming
Not sure why I didn’t try it sooner, but ponies and Rockwell go really well together! Obviously I took some liberties and made a few additions to the original composition. I didn’t want to leave Twilight out, or miss the opportunity to draw Flurry Heart for the first time.
As a fun little side-note; there are kids in school now who didn’t even exist the last time I drew this whole family together.
Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone!
Watercolor and gouache on Strathmore watercolor paper. Finished on 12/21/21.

I wanna go to Equestria
He’s drawn something for Christmas several years in a row now, but now I wonder if he might not have bothered this year if I hadn’t commissioned the piece below a few months ago. Seemed like he’d been drawing ponies less and less, and he said he needed to “warm up” to “get back into drawing ponies” before he could start on it.
