*but they are never truly the same thing and can not be compared without some open mind thinking, still you cant treat that as fact or concrete support.

religion=/= science  
science=/= philosophy  
philosophy=/= religion
 
3 parallel horizontal lines (x), never touch, some topics can cross and it may or may not have similar sounding perspective (y), but they are never truly the compared the same way.
 
Politics is messy and it tangles all them or looks like it…good and bad (mostly bad)but whipe the brown mud off and you have the 3 lines.

I think that would be more likely to be chalked up under human ignorance than religion, though. “Playing God” is a secondary thing, I’ll admit, but still.

I’m exactly talking about medical things like cloning new organs and stem-cell research. Imagine a world where there wouldn’t be any waiting lists at all for organ transplants, and where people could get a new non-rejectable organs way before they’re in life-threatening danger.

2 of the 3 things you listed sorta go under politics (atheists can deny freedoms too, you know). I don’t know how it’s stopped technology from progressing, unless you’re thinking of medical things like stem-cell research.  
I do agree with you about the hijab thing, because long hair is always nice to see.

And of course when used to control people. Used to justify wars and used to prohibit our technological development.
 
I personally would not want to see a muslim Fluttershy for the simple reason that I think hiding her pretty face would be a crime. But of course I’m free to think that.

As opposed to anything else, Dos? It was pretty much only a few centuries ago when we were okay with the prospect of liberalism and democracy.  
Religion is only bad when it’s fused with politics or media.

Blackie, you do realize that religion can do as much good as bad, right? It’s a tool. Tools have no morality beyond what the user projects onto it.  
Atheism can be just as harmful to humanity as theism.

Whenever Twilight, or anyone really, is humanized as black or non-white (even Muslim), people get into a lulz-worthy worthy fight because of either racists or people bashing political correctness.
